Alexis McAdams

Always interested in soccer and travel, Alexis met her perfect match in Rudy!

When they adopted a cat together she wasn't sure if Rudy would be onboard, but he liked it so much they adopted a second one.

Alexis is so grateful to find a travel partner in Rudy, who is always game to follow her to new museums and bookstores in every city they visit.

Likes: Ramen noodles, bicycling, public transit

Dislikes: Altitude sickness, reckless drivers

The Groom

Rudy Gomez

Rudy was a long-time Chicago Fire supporter when he met Alexis, while she was looking for a way to volunteer with the fans. Neither of them knew this chance meeting would eventually lead to marriage!

A former cook, Rudy enjoys cooking for Alexis, for friends and family, and anyone who requests a dish.

Likes: Soccer, photography, car racing

Dislikes: Columbus Ohio, chickpeas, pickles

The pair met at a Chicago Fire soccer game in 2015 and have been attending soccer games, traveling the world and making incredibly bad puns together ever since.

Alexis and Rudy moved in together in late 2020 when she was working in Milwaukee, but they came back home to Illinois to be closer to family and new job opportunities.

Rudy is finishing his associate's degree while working in the apprentice program at Zurich North America, while Alexis is celebrating her fourth year as a data analyst for a Chicago-area urban planning department.

They both still miss the biergartens and Friday fish frys of Wisconsin though
